If you need to vent about shipping charges and anything else to do with P&P
Here's the place to do it.
Leaves the deal threads for deals.

It's no fun bitching and moaning where it's appropriate to do so! (I'm bitching and moaning about bitching and moaning!)

Ok. I live in Canada and I always get dinged for outrageous shipping costs from the US, even if the journey is significantly shorter than many US deliveries!

Heh, how about when packages have to come across the Canadian border to reach a USA destination? They still ding you Canadian costs unless you can pick up your parcel at Point Roberts in the US which is only accessible, via land, through Canada.

Shipping in Canada is mostly outrageous. For instance, in the US, there's Media Mail. $5 flat fee from one end of the country to another to ship an LP which is no small package. It's tracked, too!

If I ship an LP to my neighbor, it's 13$! And it's not tracked either. Pretty crazy.

Asked the USPS to stamp a package today with their rubber FRAGILE stamp and was told they no longer do that, they only offer a FRAGILE sticker for $10.95. :wtf::wtf::wtf:

Perhaps because a poorly-trained employee with a rubber stamp that says "fragile", is one comedian routine away from a damaged reputation? ;)

Can't say I like the notion of paying $10.95 to put a box on the top of 10 other boxes in a truck...but then again, what good does it do, to stamp a box "fragile", and see it on the bottom of 9 other boxes marked: "fragile"?

i'd love to be in one of the high level meetings at the USPS where they discuss what needs to be improved and why they're failing and everyone's clueless and no solutions are developed for decades on end.

I just use a Sharpie to write 'Fragile' on the Front and Back of a Vinyl Mailer. The Sharpie also comes in handy when I want to redirect the path of a hurricane:agree:.

A roll of 500 on Amazon is $5.69. I use them on all my media shipments.

I've been having trouble receiving packages from Amazon in the UK. I've got 2 orders that still haven't arrived after 7 weeks. I used to typically receive packages within 2 weeks.
It seems since they raised their rates, delivery has suffered. I'm hesitant to order anything else.
The odd thing is that other vendors in the UK can get deliveries to me within 7 business days. I really don't understand Amazon's shipping methods.

I paid €15 for shipping on 2 records from Greece. Took 10 days.
I paid £7.45 for shipping 1 record from UK. Took 7 days.

I get quotes from USA sellers for 25USD for one record. Really?... no thanks.

As Strat said above, $13 Canadian Bucks just to ship to neighbor. Only worth it for a must have lp I guess.

May be worth buying from Europe if shipping is decent. Some sellers charge actual postage and don't ding you out of greed.

Really don't understand why this is so expensive?
    It's only 9 dollars on amazon.com.
