A Life In Jazz, a biography of Stan Getz translated by Haruki Murakami was just published in Japan and gathers great attention.
I’m now listening to the radio program hosted by Yoshihide Otomo. He plays Whatever Lola Wants from Face To Face by Babyface after introducing a episode with John Zorn who said to Otomo that ‘Otomo-kun, you must hear this'.
JUTTA HIPP with zoot sims (Blue Note) CD with Jerry Lloyd (trumpet), Zoot Sims (tenor sax), Jutta Hipp (piano), Ahmed Abdul-Malik (bass), Ed Thigpen (drums) Recorded 1956. The 24-bit CD was remastered by RVG in 2007 and included two extra tracks not included on the original LP. An interesting 8 track CD with one composition credited to trumpeter Jerry Lloyd, one to Zoot Sims and the other 6 are covers.

NP: Barney Wilen - Le Grande Cirque Recorded live by Alain Cluzeau in 1992, this is a fine sounding CD. The label, Wan +Wan is completely obscure, perhaps a pseudonym of nato?
