Calling anything from Python "obscure" will be an uphill struggle.

"This is my wife, Dreary Fat Boring Old."

    OK, how about this one:

I don't wish to usurp the OP's authority, but that's obscure in my book. :)

At bedtime years ago, I would announce that I am tired by saying Im going to "Sleep, Now" in the tone and hand gesture of Richard O'Brian in "Dark City". It was funny, you had to be there. John M.

Obviously Caddyshack isn’t obscure but when certain situations didn’t go the way I wanted them to I would blurt out Maggie’s “Tanks Fer Nuttin” at times.

I know this is somewhat politically incorrect, but whenever my wife and I overhear someone speaking in a foreign language in public, I always say, "You could warn them, if only you spoke Hovitos." (Raiders of the Lost Ark)

Whenever a guy relative or a dude acquaintance friend tries to greet me with an over-enthusiastic hug:
I offer a firm handshake to avoid the hug, then say:

"A handshake is enough for me, fruitcake ..." **

Edward Burns - "The Brothers McMullen" (1995 Movie)
** yes yes I know its not PC and insensitive (hey, its not MY original quote) , I am just not a fan of exaggerated hugs from guys... If I get roped into a hug, I maneuver to that 1 hand stiff arm handshake, bump right shoulders, left hand back slap version, like the rappers do...

In a Three Stooges short somebody wanted the guys to get something done quickly and Shemp said “Rome wasn’t built in a day; neither was Syracuse”.

I would sometimes say Syracuse but usually substituted small towns around Kansas City.

I always liked how The Stooges would respond to inanimate objects that wouldn't do that they wanted them to - like slacks Curly or Shemp were trying to press curving into the air - "Backbiter, eh?" So I use that when pens don't write or something falls out when I open the freezer.

To be clear: the movie/show itself doesn't have to be obscure. Cripes, I quoted "Spinal Tap"!

It's the specific quote that has to be obscure - ie, something few people will identify who you say it! :)
