More Jay & Kai on the sunday morning " Trombone For Two" - Philips B 07110 L - recorded June 23, 1955
Unless noise reduction is applied only to remove the nastiest noises that would bother even the most purist of all audiophiles, it has to be avoided at all cost in my opinion (and I can't think of one instance where this kind of noise has ever occured or interfered with transferring a tape to digital of the top of my head) . It's almost always noticeable. When plain tape noise is considered "bad noise", you know what your dealing with. The Desmond / Hall Mosaic sounds very good to my ears, well worth losing one track!
