What are the iconic guitars in your opinion?

I don't think you quite get the intent of the thread or the OP.

 

As did Andy Fraser with Free, another terrific bass player from the late '60s-early '70s.

 

I'd say the Ibanez Iceman was more iconic. Loads of guitarists bought these. Guitarist in my first band had one.

 

In BTO's heyday, Randy Bachman used two Strats, a white one, and a yellow one with a Canadian flag sticker. Always thought the one with the sticker was pretty identifiable as Bachman's.



And I confess I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned John Fogerty's 'Centerfield' baseball bat guitar (which I have seen up close and personal at the baseball hall of fame).



And I know Seger plays a Les Paul these days and is more often seen with an acoustic, but I'll always associate him with Telecasters, especially his 80's hollowbody tele.

I really question the taste of people who like ugly guitars. I mean, those headless ones are the worst of all time. Small bodies and no headstock, man that's a pairing from hell.

Rick Nielsen is the first one that comes to mind. The checkerboard Hamer.

Can anyone identify, with certainty, what model Gibson Eric Clapton is playing at the Concert for Bangladesh?
I've heard arguments made that it is a Byrdland, an ES350T, and an L5. What say the experts?
