McCartney had one hell of a run from 66-69. The amount of classics by this guy in that period is staggering.

Which bonafide ‘classics’ did he write in the year of 1969???

 

Pretty strange that despite several years of John and Paul writing songs, in the modern day Here Comes The Sun is the most streamed song of the entire Beatles catalogue... and it wasn't even released as a single! It's almost like writing merits are subjective. And that swings things back to the topic at hand, is anyone upset about HCTS getting a centered lead vocal now? it always bugged me because there was no reason to do it by that point.

This is simply not true. You're really overstating your case here.

 

Just read the article on the meeting. One bit I found interesting was John wanting to split up the Lennon/McCartney credit into individual song writing credits. A better idea would be to simply put the main writers name first.

 

How about Maybe I'm Amazed, written in 1969?

Why does Giles make the guitars in his remixes sound so weak and wimpy? I want louder guitars, not softer ones. The drums & bass get louder and the guitars are made softer. Examples:

Paperback Writer & She Loves you from 1+.
Helter Skelter & Gently Weeps from The White Album Anniversary.
