Just curious what people like best. Mine is probably boring: 1) Aqualung 2) Songs from the wood 3) Stand Up
1. Stand Up 2. Songs from the Wood 3. Stormwatch Slots 2 and 3 subject to change depending on my mood! Stand Up is king for me, however.
That could be a tough one... Thick As A Brick definitely. Aqualung...very likely. aaaaannd... Stand Up? Maybe Minstrel.
Hard to pick just 3. Living in the Past just might be my favorite. Of course Aqualung and Thick as a brick. Then of course there is Benefit, Stand up, and This was. And Isle of Wight 1970. I would also add that Ian was a great pop song writer and it is such a shame that he stopped doing that.
I would even throw War Child in there just to hear "Bungle in the jungle", which maybe was the last great pop song out of Ian. If he did more later, please correct me so that I can go listen to those.
Songs from the Wood Heavy Horses Live - Bursting Out (if we're including live albums.... ....otherwise) Benefit . . . . . although 3rd (re studio albums) might be War Child instead. That and Benefit would pretty much be tied for me. There's no Tull album I dislike, by the way. I'd rate the vast majority a 5/5, with definitely nothing getting below a 4/5.
