Breaking Bad. I don’t think I’ve had more of a roller coaster ride with any other series. The Sopranos is more of a Shakespearean tragedy and its own peak, but BB was a visceral experience.

My ex and I binged BB over the course of a month after the series ended (we hadn’t watched it at all while it was on) and it haunted us for weeks after.

Watching it in such a compressed time frame contributed to its impact, I’m sure.

    BB
    The Sopranos
    Mad Men
    The Wire
Justified (gotta support my KY people)
GOT (the last season hurt it overall)
    Banshee (a real sleeper)
    OZ
    Daredevil
TWD (The last several seasons I bailed)

I didn’t watch Mad Men until the last six months or so and did a similar binge. The finale certainly had many emotional payoffs.

Hamm’s subtle performance really didn’t hit me until the last season when he let some of his repressed emotions out.

Better Call Saul has been a different experience than BB, but incredible rewarding just the same.

The more I think, the harder it gets. Ray Donavan deserves a mention. Eddie Marsan and Dash Mihok are both extraordinary, and Jon Voight amazes me at how vibrant and fit he is.

I love that show. Jon Voight is the best current older guy in a series and as good as any of the classic Sopranos characters.

Impossibly, if you scratch off the *well, DUH-!* series' off the list, such as
    Mad Men
    Walking Dead
    The Americans
    Good Wife
    Better Call Saul
    Game Of Thrones
    Doctor Who
    Mr. Robot
    Stranger Things

...as well as John Oliver and Samantha Bee's news smackdowns..

...I've still got a list of about 25, that I enjoyed the hell out of, several of which haven't shown up on this thread.

I won't do a top-10 because its pretty fluid, but #1 is, and will remain, the show Ed (which has not been released on DVD ever, much to my chagrin).
