I love this show. There's nothing else like it on television. I wish more people were watching. I'm afraid it won't get renewed again.

Even if it only lasts two seasons, I’m glad that it got the green light in the first place. Great stuff!

I think that chart shows a lot of folks tuned in with expectations for a normal sort of show, and so they were disappointed. Maybe word will get out to the Twin Peaks types and the ratings will grow.

I wanted to show an episode to my sister-in-law. After first discovering that season 1 isn't available OD via FiOS nor on the AMC app, I found that it's available on Hulu.

Anyway, it was interesting to watch the very first episode again to see how the show has developed. Many things were already well-developed and have remained. Only a few details or styles were changed. For example, the chess-playing guys in Donuts have disappeared. But, they were kind of a one-time joke anyway.

By the way, she enjoyed it.

It appears that IFC will be showing a "Lodge 49" marathon, over the weekend....

This week's episode wasn't as interesting to me. It seemed to be less wacky and more like a standard relationship drama. There were a few interesting moments, however.

I continue to love Sonya Cassidy's acting as Liz. The incredulous deadpan expressions and eyerolls she gives the other characters are priceless. And, I love how she actually seems to be chewing or cleaning her teeth in some scenes.

At the end, I was afraid...
that blindfolded Connie was going to walk through the stairless outside door and fall to her death. What was the meaning of that scene? I guess we'll find out.

Liz is definitely the star turn in the show, and I'm far more interested in her arc than any of the other characters

It’s real. I’ve seen the promos while watching IFC. I guess they recognize quality when they see it. I wonder how much they had to pay for the rights, or perhaps IFC and AMC are both owned by the same mega corporation?

I think AMC owns IFC. AMC itself can be pretty weak about availability of its shows. Why didn't they have a Lodge 49 marathon themselves just before the new season? And it wasn't on On Demand. Nor is season 1 on AMC Premieer. For that matter, early seasons of Preacher aren't available at those locations either. I subscribed to AMC Premiere for a month to watch Rubicon. AMC allowed that show to disappear from the face of the earth till now.

Road trip! The whole gang is going. More reveals on Janet. Glad to see Giamatti back, what a hilarious role he’s playing.
