And she still can’t accept responsibility for her show getting canceled; once again she claims it was because of her politics — which were well known when the reboot was greenlit.

I thought, is she supposed to be that old neighbour? But Dan and Darlene didn't seem to recognize her. When they've revived various other minor characters from the original show, I'm surprised they cast her as someone new.

Not promoting an argument, but she was wanted by everyone she worked with to stop the tweeting, CEO of Disney(owns ABC) warned her weeks before the firing about the tweeting and she kept tweeting things that weren’t political but were very troubling and believe me I’m far from PC. She brought it on herself

The people whose financing and reputations were connected with the show felt differently and didn't want to be associated with Barr's public racist statements.

I think the reason they cast her as someone new is that her previous character only really had much interaction with Roseanne, so it was easier to just give her a new character.

Plus Kathy and her husband had moved away from Lanford so there's little reason for her character to be back in town.

The show is better without her, IMHO.

Yeah, I have to say, even though I really enjoyed the season she participated in, I'm finding I am enjoying the show just as much without her, which surprises me. I'm totally engrossed in the doings of Becky and Darlene. I wasn't even that big of a fan of the show when it originally aired. Maybe I'm just grateful for any form of comfort food on a cold dark Tuesday night in my old age.

I’ve always thought John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf were the pillars that held up Roseanne. When you took one or both away, the show flew off the rails and just wasn’t enjoyable.

Yet, they still mention Roseanne in almost every episode. The original show from the 80/90s was so much better.

I haven't counted but I feel like there have only been a handful of references to her this season.

I like John Goodman with Katey Sagal, and I think the plot teased in the season cliffhanger has promise.

I can wait for COID to be over.

If anyone at all gets COVID while working on this show then it's a complete boycott and letters to ABC from me.

I wonder why the show is moving to Wednesdays.

ABC no longer has a comedy block on Tuesdays. Black-ish (and, I imagine, Mixed-ish when it returns mid-season) has also moved to Wednesdays.
