Wow! I love the sleeve artwork. Beautiful, and a tad spooky.
This is an excellent surprise. More Kurstin produced tracks - that's extra good news. Something to be happy about.

    Yeah.....
All my purchases for this year are 'on-hold' 'till my wallet can deal...
So, 'ABOUT?!?!'.... meant... I WISH I was about....
    that's all

Paul was on a roll during the Egypt Station sessions
They sure know how to roll out the songs though
One can argue that these two new songs should have been on the extended ES
On the other hand is great to hear two new McCartney songs.

they sure know how to milk their fans, would be a better way to say it.

maybe in a few months all the record stuff form 'egypt' will show up on one release somewhere.

they have done that before too.

I don't know if Townshend was joking when he recently complained that the producer of the new Who album easily went through the one million dollar budget - that seems exorbitant. But, if that's what they had - I can't imagine McCartney's budget. All these different editions and releases is likely the only way to recoup the expenditure. Surely McCartney is signed to a 360 deal, and Capitol must get a piece of touring, still...
I think a stand alone Record Store Day release is a great way to get the new songs out there (at least we don't need to buy tracks we already have) - I would encourage McCartney to release a new single every year as long as RSD exists.

Well this sucks, Black Friday is a bad day for me. I work in IT for a retail company. Black Friday is an 'all hands on deck' day...everyone has to work. It's been hard enough to snag any of these macca RSD releases (except the last one |"Come on to me"...I've got 3 of those...lol). Being there when the store opens will be quite impossible.

    Dr. Pepper What, me worry?

If Paul released a single every month in 47 different colors and configurations I would be ecstatic! I don't have to buy them all, but to have more McCartney music faster, I'm all for that. Five years between albums is too long. I'll take any and all Paul releases any way he wants to do it is fine by me, the faster the better.

I think this makes 7 bonus tracks released form the Egypt station sessions so far. Interesting that Paul didn't use these as the main part of a follow up album, but I'm happy as we get them released faster this way.

Would hope to get this, but I’m usually busy at work the morning of RSD!

RSD site shows quantity of 12,000. That sounds like a lot to me.

what is nice, Paul offered us something really new, not again a specific replicate or something that we already have (in a different package or something like that) ....

One has to imagine that selling all 12,000 (with some modest streaming) should be enough to squeeze into the top 40.

Top 400. No way that it will go top 40.

Sadly, they couldn't justify adding these to the "complete" Traveler's Edition suitcase without bumping the cost of that up... and they wanted to keep it affordable.

of course you would, as would i if david crosby did the same thing. that is what a true is and does.

i just don't like re-re-re-releasing adding a little bit more each time making fans buy something they already bought all over again. not a lot have done this, but:

mccartney - a few time now

    lenny kravitz

    sheryl crow

and sting just said he was doing it with his 3 month CD 'my songs".

and i'm sure there are others, maybe a good idea for a thread.
