If box office competition does well, a good (or even great) movie may not do well. That is why I believe a sequel should be made. The success of a sequel can spark sales for the original again too. My opinion.
    My starting choices are:
"Alita Battle Angel" - I love this movie! I want to see more!
"Ex Machina" - This one needs a sequel. It was very good.
"Grease" - There could be a high school reunion!

I know about Grease 2 but don't consider it a sequel. We need a sequel with Sandy, Danny & the gang at a high school reunion.

Shawshank Redemption. Don't need any drama or anything, just want to see Dufresne and Red running the hotel and doing up the boat, just talking, reminiscing.

I'd like to see Dufresne get revenge on that laughing hyena who killed his wife and the golf pro and made Andy's life hell. Now that would be a sequel !

I am quite happy for zero sequels, apart from serialised story telling, but if I understand your premise correctly you are saying a big success sequel will give more attention to the original film that didn't do that well?

    In that case....

Dredd - the first film was excellent but didn't do too well. The character deserves a trilogy, maybe if they did the Cursed Earth really well then people would go back and see Dredd as the start of the trilogy.

I'm still waiting for "Red 3". I think one and two were both extremely entertaining, and three
was rumored, but then it disappeared. Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and John Malkovich aren't
    getting any younger....

Ferris Bueller's Day Off - You gotta wonder what kind of professional/personal life Ferris is leading these days...and does he still take a day off?

Their 40th anniversary reunion would have taken place in 1999... what style should the songs be in?

One good final Star Trek: The Next Generation movie. Just to make up for the dismal "Nemesis".

If this was the 90's, I'd say bring on the Indiana Jones sequels. Their original plan was to do more Indy movies back then when Harrison Ford was still in his prime.

Agreed but..........Wouldn't have been so dismal had we got the Director's Cut.

Some of the key scenes (including the background of how Data came to his decision) that ended up on the cutting room floor were criminal.:shake:

At least we have "Star Trek Picard" with some Next Gen cameos to look forward to...:)

What the world needs now is more Fast & Furious sequels.

And how about Blues Brothers 3000?

I don't how The Other Guys didn't get a sequel but Daddy's Home did??

Step Brothers would also be a great one. While where on Ferrell why not a third Anchorman as well..

Oh and how about a Spinal Tap reunion/final tour?! Call it That is Spinal Tap

I’d like a sequel to Gregory’s Girl that’s closer to the spirit of the original film than Gregory’s Two Girls.

Also, an adaptation of Billy Liar On The Moon.

' Election' is seriously underrated. Very funny movie with a dark twisted edge to it.

The Hud Breath of the Kingdom, Tears of the Wild

    Amazing Spider-Man 3

I know these weren't that popular, but I liked them, especially 2, which ended in the middle of a fight.

  24. I Love You, Man. Not that it was a classic movie that left a bunch of unanswered questions, but Paul Rudd and Jason Segel had good onscreen chemistry, and it’d be fun to see Sidney and Pistol Pete get into some more low-stakes shenanigans.
