Well, since I had to make a quick payment to make that now zero balance look better, I thought it a good idea to tell others as well.
It does come up around here quite a bit, so I know I'm not alone.

Correction. Amoeba charges your card immediately, no matter the release date.
I just checked my account, and the charges didn't fall off, they just moved down the screen with the other charges.
To be certain, I checked my last purchase from them, and sure enough, the date of the charge is 19 days before the release date.
