Haven't received my notice yet. Will cancel my 2020 subscription and incinerate all of my copies of previous Dead releases in protest of this slight as soon as I post this message.

    "Touch Of Grey"

    It must be getting early
    Clocks are running late
    Paint by numbers morning sky
    Looks so phony

    Dawn is breaking everywhere
Light a candle, curse the glare
Draw the curtains, I don't care
    'Cause it's alright

    I will get by
    I will get by
    I will get by
    I will survive

I see you got your list out
Say your piece and get out
Yes I got the gist of it
    But it's alright

Sorry that you feel that way
The only thing there is to say
    Every silver lining's got a
    Touch of grey

    I will get by
    I will get by
    I will get by
    I will survive

    It's a lesson to me
The Ables and the Bakers and the C's
    The ABC's
    We all must face
And try to keep a little grace

    It's a lesson to me
The Deltas and the East and the Freeze
    The ABC's
    We all think of
And try to keep a little love

I know the rent is in arrears
The dog has not been fed in years
It's even worse than it appears
    But it's alright

    Cows are giving kerosene
The kid can't read at seventeen
The words he knows are all obscene
    But it's alright

    I will get by
    I will get by
    I will get by
    I will survive

The shoe is on the hand it fits
There's really nothing much to it
Whistle through your teeth and spit
    'Cause it's alright

Oh well a touch of grey
    Kind of suits you anyway
That was all I had to say
    It's alright

    I will get by
    I will get by
    I will get by
    I will survive

    We will get by
    We will get by
    We will get by
    We will survive

    We will get by
    We will get by
    We will get by
    We will survive

I don't often eat at Taco Bell for the simple reason that I cannot move for 3 days after*. But your post reminds me of my response to the local TB signboard that recently read: "Come try the XXL Grilled Stuft [sic] Beef Burrito", to which I thought, "why?".

*Upon review, I realize that, though I intended this remark with regard to ambulatory mobility, it could be taken in a distinctly different way, yet with similar accuracy.

Shipping notice for DaP 32 as well - expected Monday 11/4 here in Orlando. I'll have the new Dylan Bootleg 3 CD set to enjoy while I wait.

With the announcement of 10/29/77 (excellent choice!) for DaP 33, it's high time I revisit late Fall '77 and the sweet, fat, round tone of the Wolf.

    Cueing up:
Road Trips: Vol 1, Number 2: October 1977 (just 2 CDs and a bonus disc? This should have been a box set!)
    DaP 12: Colgate 11/4/77
    Bonus Tracks from 11/2/77
    DP 34: Rochester 11/5/77
    DaP 25: Binghamton 11/6/77
    DP 10: Winterland 12/29/77

Someone around here never got their Europe '72 box...while someone else (maybe it was @scribbs?) got one without paying for it after cancelling an order...or something.

Of course he doesn't need to apologise. I didn't say he did. I said it "would have been nice if he'd...maybe even apologised for it". It's not in his control but he is the public face of the organisation, appearing in videos for nearly every release they do. Lots of people are experiencing problems receiving the items they paid for. Lots of us who do receive them are getting them with scratched discs, some of which don't rip or play. Receiving the product in working order is the essential part of the transaction for us. It's called PR. Saying "Hey, sorry it has been such a hassle with postage stuff recently. We're still ironing out the kinks in the new warehouse and, in true Dead spirit, we're doing it our own way in our own pace. Rest assured, we'll get there" is a better look than saying nothing about it. It may even have salvaged a few subscribers from previous years who have dropped out.

Also, I wouldn't feel bad about not subscribing. I buy things. I don't buy things. I'm content with my choices. Just taking the opportunity to discuss the topic of the day in this thread.

I feel your pain, Brother. That is a shocking experience to go through. I would offer this: observe the behavior that was demonstrated and recognize this is not a human being you want to invest your time and energy with. The lack of personal integrity shows she is not capable of the depth of companionship that a human heart truly desires. Give yourself some time to let the reverberations pass, and get back Truckin' on!

He had been up all night on a coke binge. He hadn't done any in years and apparently didn't do any after that either.

    As far as quality control, hmm, I don't know, I like the A B C D E F alphabet imagery ...
