Love this band. Always wondered why they weren't as popular as the top fusion/jazz-rock bands of that era like Mahavishnu, Weather Report and RTF. Probably because British jazz was never given the same attention as their American counterparts. The music is stellar though. Their other albums Solar Plexus and We'll Talk About It Later are just as good in my opinion.
Is this w Hank Mobley? I have the album w the dinosaur on the cover but is that a different Carnegie hall show

There is a funny story about this album. Monk pretended having too learn all the Ellington compositions while being in the studio and so making sure the session would go into overtime.
Again many thanks to @Robitjazz for his hint! I found one record in my "vaults" and found a used copy of some others in the intenet - which arrived today. Oscar Valdambrini: The Best Modern Jazz From Italy

How is the Cash material? I have a cd worth of it I downloaded years ago. Some I thought was quite good and other tracks were clearly very rough attempts to do smething.
WP Miles - Someday My Prince Will Come (Columbia) Sony reissue from a few years ago NP Paul Desmond - First Place Again (Warner Bros.) gold label stereo pressing.
It's very rough, but charming. Trying to catch lightning in a bottle with no rehearsal, and failing. But y'know, it's Dylan and Cash palling around in the studio.
