UK Britbox starts today

I was looking forward to checking this out and was expecting my LG TV app to be installed automatically today as some other recent streaming services were added automatically......... but no app yet.
Do users have to search the Net through the browser to install the app?
Free trial of 30 days it says on their home page via my laptop [then £5.99 per month] but i'd rather use/watch the TV option.

Is the BBC iplayer to be discontinued shortly after launch?

Frankly I don't think it's worth the money.

 

Cannot believe no Our Friends In The North on that list.

 

Kind of skeptical that Python, The Goodies, Dave Allen, or The Neighbours would be available, but I don't know.

 

Got too much new stuff to watch.
