Andrew Cyrille & Maono ‎– Metamusicians' Stomp
    Label: Black Saint ‎– 120025-2
    Format: CD, Album, Reissue
    Country: Italy
    Released: 1993
Recorded September 1978. There's enough structure here that I wouldn't necessarily call this 'free.' The playing is excellent as I've come to expect from both this label and from Cyrille-led sessions. The highlight is Spiegelstrasse 14, a ~22 minute track with many movements. DiGeronimo's bass is a standout here.

Same. The b/w cover is the first issue (1969).
The recording was made by a radio station and eventually Sony bought it.

On the beginning of Miles in Tokyo, Teruo Isono introduced the band.
He was a friend of Oscar Peterson who gave a song to him, Terry’s Tune.

(CD Blue Note King Record Japan "Blue Note Collectors' Item Series" GXK-8205) 1981 .... recorded November 10th, 1965 @ Van Gelder Studio, ENglewood Cliffs .... Joe Henderson (ts) + Woody Shaw (tp) + Larry Young (org) + Elvin Jones (dr) .... although a Larry Young leader date, this session gives both Joe Henderson (aka the uncrowned "Blue Note sideman champion") and Woody Shaw (also as composer) ample room to shine .... precious music in superb sound ....

Andrew Cyrille Feat. Ted Daniel - Sonelius Smith - Nick Di Geronimo* ‎– The Navigator
Label: Soul Note ‎– SN 1062
    Format: CD, reissue
    Country: Italy
    Released: 1983
Recorded September 21 & 22, 1982. A very nice quartet setting, with strong playing from everyone. Again, a good amount of structure so I wouldn't call this 'free' improvisation. The mood so far is very pensive & calm. We'll see what happens in the later, longer tracks.
