It seems that all the hits are there. It's a shame some of their better B-sides and album tracks aren't on it - many of those are on 'History.'

Not sure I really need this, but I might pick it up anyway.

I have a handed down down down Dave Clark Five Greatest Hits LP. That’s good enough for me.

    (I think I forgot a down)

Unless Everybody Get Together is the FULL VERSION it's not worth getting IMO. All other CD releases fade it almost a minute early at around 3:19 wheras the full version on the original If Somebody Loves You album and I assume the 45 goes for about 4:20.

Basically like this, but without the switch to the live in studio audio near the end in this:

It's their best tune IMO. The Youngbloods version is paper thin in comparison.

If you want to know what this will sound like on CD, just stream that link. I'm sure it's just that release under a slightly different title.

    I've never had a DC5 cd. I'll consider this.

I liked them retrospectively (born in the 70s). I can't help thinking I'd have been a huge fan if I'd either been born at the time or their back catalogue had been on CD. Some of their LPs were pretty pricey for a kid.

I also thought this looked familiar.

This has been on Tidal and Amazon (HD) for some time now. 2019 remasters btw.

They forgot Mulberry Tree. Not a big hit but neither were the other post 68 singles, and it's better.

The mastering sounds good. As expected these are the UK masters which are generally drier than the sweetened Epic versions. Like many have posted here, do we need yet another Dc5 comp of just the hits? I'm not going to go for this. The 2 CD History Of remains the best DC5 digital compilation to date.
A complete box set of all their 60's output would not be a great idea: many of the DC5 Epic lp's contain way too many weak and forgettable songs but there are some exceptional album tracks such as the ultra moody and powerful 'Don't You Realize' from the Having A Wild Weekend lp. Try Too Hard and Satisfied With You albums are IMO their only really solid lp's. Unless DC decides to remix tracks for first time stereo, it appears most of the DC5 catalog will remain vinyl only

I think its a valid gripe a gripes go....as physical media is in its sunset years give us something to really make it worth it. a true career retrospective box set with the bells and whistles... i say empty the vaults!

I have the 1993 UK compilation and The History Of. I'm done with this especially as is this "new" compilation seems to be lifted from the 2008 UK/Europe one just transferred from UMG to BMG management management

I really like my Starline /EMI label Best of in stereo needle drop, only it’s missing “Over and Over” which is among their very finest. I needle dropped that track from the Polydor 25 Thumping Hits mono U.K. LP and so I feel I have good mastering (in digital) of all the key tracks now.

Why do some of you insert Whoopi Goldberg in threads about reissues?
    It's very tiresome.

Because they are still devastated about her appearance in a film about the Beatles I think. They may never get over it, something you just never quite get over.
