All of these classic Paramount logos are dearly missed, these days, on... Star Trek (The Original Series) (later season 2, and all season 3) Mission: Impossible (later season 2, and all seasons 3-7) Mannix (later season 1, and all seasons 2-8) The Odd Couple (1970 TV series) Happy Days Laverne & Shirley Taxi Mork & Mindy Bosom Buddies Family Ties Cheers MacGyver (1985 TV series; since the Blu-Ray re-releases) Star Trek: The Next Generation ~Ben
I miss the intelligent writing and action-packed adventure. Almost everything nowadays is condescending/watered-down and seems to follow the path of the modern Sesame Street.
The title theme song. Many back in the day were one minute long, but some were almost two minutes long. Some pilot episodes went even longer than two minutes for their opening titles! ~Ben
You guys get those ads. I thought that was just a joke. Here in Canada you get one of there things (Life/Health Insurance, Allergy medicine or vitamins) and even then it’s like maybe once every 30 mins or so. I guess our moral advertising rules are a little higher than our friends to the south
I have no idea but it is literally impossible to watch broadcast commercial TV these days...it's just insulting, rude, crude and sadistic...they love to torture one at dinnertime especially...the worse bodily functions! I have to laugh...
That sounds horrible.. I guess we don’t realize how good we got it. TV ads are somewhat annoying, sure. But that level of disgust.. I can’t understand
We Canadians aren’t very posh people (furthest from it) but hearing this makes us look like we’re watching the queens personal tv channels
If you are ever in the States check it out! Just put any broadcast commercial TV Station on...You'll get a good laugh and feel good about where you live!
I am actually going down to New York State/Buffalo this Thursday-Sunday for holiday shopping. Will have to take note of the tv commercials
Dad sitting at home on the lounge watching TV in a suit and necktie. Mum waking up in the morning with not a hair out of place. I used to love seeing Simon Templar (The Saint) after a fistfight with unmarked face and not a hair out of place. Pretty cool to be so victorious wearing a three piece suit. Loved it.
I remember the 4 Point logo from Wake, Rattle & Roll, which came after the Hanna-Barbera Flintstones 30th Anniversary custom logo (First 30 Years, 1960-1990; design by Mike Kazaleh) and before the 1988 Worldvision "WHOOSH" logo. ~Ben
