I’m a little confused, i just got and am playing the 2016 15 cd 1 dvd box of the time life mothers best programs, a redo of the 2010 set. It sounds great. I thought this was the complete mothers best. The book is new. They find new shows?

 

They haven't found any new shows.

 

Thanks for the help. Looks like I'll stick with the older set and hopefully find the book free-floating online somewhere.

As a casual fan, I contented myself with the basic 20 of Hank Williams’ Greatest Hits
CD. After watching his segment on the Burns Country Music documentary, I convinced myself to delve deeper into the Williams catalogue; I think this pending release just might be the ticket.

 

Good choice! You really can't go wrong with Hank. His catalogue doesn't really have much filler, imo. It's truly great stuff.

 

I dont have any of the radio shows. I do think that hearing the complete shows in context is a nice little time travel. Im not sure I like the idea of just having Hank separated from the complete show. Takes away from the “youre there in the time Hank was” factor.

Having said the above, I hope the set sells a bunch. New Hank Williams sets dont come out everyday and he and the music deserves to be celebrated.

 

Completely agree, the estate said they intend to release more, so I'm definitely looking forward to what the have in store for us!

 

The complete shows are my preferred way to listen, commercials and Audrey notwithstanding.

Has anyone found any pre-order links other than Amazon.uk? I didn't find any on BullMoose or Amazon.

That said, I'm hesitant about getting this since I do have the 10 CD set with all the shows and other performers, etc.

 

Do we know who is mastering this set and are there samples up anywhere? Please, God, I can't take anymore Joseph Palmaccio.

I’ve been on a huge Hank Williams kick thanks to all of you. I had the 40 greatest hits and just picked up the 3 cd singles set. Also bought the Health and Happiness shows and adore those.

Needless to say, I just preordered.

 

Afaninfull, get Live At The Grand Ole Opry, I Saw The Light and Beyond The Sunset as well.
