Saw them there in 71, 72 and 73.
I was 18, 19 and 20 so I wasn’t judging sound but it was loud and pretty crazy closer to the stage

Great thread! Thank you very much. What SACD version of Kind of Blue?

    Q to Steve:
When AF, Analogue Productions or MoFi have some mastering done for SACD format, what happens to those high resolution DSD masters? Like MoFi that nowdays do all in quad (4x) DSD... destroyed, archived or given to the record company that licensed the stuff, or..?

Hello Steve, curious if you've heard the RSD black friday edition of Steppenwolf's S/T in mono. It's gotten great reviews on the forum. Just wondering if you've heard it and what you thought.

I think Steve is endorsing this one. Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue

It's a single layer so it won't play in a CD transport. You'll need a SACD compatible player. My copy didn't come with a slipcase. The three channel option may be heresy around her, but I think the listening experience is sublime.

Either that one, or one of the other handful of single-layer SACD variants also listed on Discogs. Some are stereo only, while others are stereo/multichannel. I don't have that multichannel one you listed (with silver slipcase); I have the gold plastic slipcase variant of the stereo/multichannel disc. I don't know if there's any difference in the data/content among these variants... perhaps they're all the same?

All I know is AF. Sometimes saved (just a few), usually erased.

But I have not heard the later versions, they might be fine as well. Others will advise you..

Steve, I found a NM copy of your DCC remaster of McCartney’s Ram album. It didn’t set me back too much. The sound is terrific. Thank you.

If you could sit in on any four Beatles sessions what would they be and why?

DCC McCartney (st), DCC Band on the Run are among my favorite CDs (or music in any format). I always impress my mom with them!

A question: If you could work on any post-80s McCartney album, what would it be?

What Country Music 'great' would you like to work on, and a specific album?

    Fair enough,

Have you heard this stereo remix of good vibrations? It was done by one of our own, and is incredible

I think it’s astounding and way better then the official smiley smile “nearly mono” stereo mix
