Under The Skin, but I only really watch films when I take my kids to the cinema, so I’d struggle to come up with many others.

Under The Skin ? I would say it’s more for adults.

 

It didn’t do all that well? I’m surprised.

Btw, as funny as McCarthy and some of the other big names are, for me the biggest laughs came from Peter Serafinowicz, playing the Italian agent. No idea who he is, but he was hilarious.

 

He’s English part of the simon Pegg / mighty bush people.

 

i am almost certain that something i haven't seen this year-Parasite, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Marriage Story-could make this list. i didn't include OJ:Made In America because i watched it on ESPN. first film number #1 for me, the rest in no order.

OMG i forgot about No Man's Land!! and i even own it. a fantastic film. i now replace Her on my list.

 

I watched ‘The Sun Is Also a Star’ (2019) on HBO last night. That was one great movie. And yes, I cried a little bit at the end, so don’t make fun of me. It was an incredibly sad movie because it deals with the issue of deportation, in a modern American context. But it was also a very uplifting movie. I don’t want to give away the ending. I cried because I cared about the characters in this movie.

This is a great film about love and humanness. I also appreciated the gentleness of the characters. The two main characters fall in love over a day’s time, and they’re just nice people. There’s no edginess about these two people. They’re not conniving people or bad people. It’s a movie about two good people who fall in love. Also, nothing blew up in this movie, and there was no gunfire. That was refreshing.

 

I haven't watched that many recent films, but the French movie from 2010 A Prophet is one of the best ones I've ever seen. Add to that The VVitch, and The Master. Also Mother!
