I can't say that this "anniversary celebration year" has been particularly different from any other year.

What a disappointment for black friday/cyber Monday deals. I thought they'd do something special for their "35th BF & CM"

 

Yep, disappointing across the the board from the audiophile stores. When you consider AS have 10% off year round, this was in effect a 5% sale. The fact that the best Black Friday Sale by far was at Universal's "Udiscover" site tells you a lot about who's making the money from vinyl these days...

 

Not their best, but the usual 10% off sale doesn’t apply to AP titles. When they run the 15%, it does include the AP stuff so that’s usually what I pick up.

I was holding out some hope for another 50%-off sale, as they had 2 or 3 years ago. It was actually a good investment for them, I think! I had previously considered the 2x45s to be too expensive for me, but once I got a taste of them through that sale, I've since been on a bit of a quest to get everything I can get my hands on (as long as the price doesn't creep much higher than $50).

As that doesn't seem to be in the cards, I guess I'll wait for the next 15 or 20% sale. I made an order with Elusive Disc this time (same 15%-off deal, though most of what I wanted didn't qualify), as I had some Impex titles I wanted to pick up and they had a couple of MMJs that I still needed.

 

I really stocked up on that 50% off sale from a couple of years back.
IIRC it was a Boxing Day sale so fingers crossed that they do something similar this year

 

i wish i had, i think i bought maybe 4-5 things and got worried about what i was spending. I should have just bought everything of interest.

 

Avreed, but not all AP stuff. I was looking at picking up some classical releases and all of the AP titles were not on sale

 

Interesting. I have never seen an in stock AP title excluded. They do have to be in stock though. I’ve purchased probably 50+ on their sales and viewed substantially more that I didn’t purchase and all were included.

 

I looked back at my orders , it was Black Friday 2017 they did the 50% Off Sale
I exercised great restraint at 11 discs and I too would buy a lot more if I could turn back the clock

 

It's only been 2 years?!? Wow, i thought it was longer ago then that. Man, i wish i had more money to spend on that sale
