Sorry, but Billy Squier's Christmas number is a time machine back to 1981 when MTV was fresh and pretty damn fun.

    Martha Quinn was cute too.

The song was released as a 45 (RCA 3709-7-R) and on a various-artists compilation in 1990 under the name "'Til Santa's Gone (I Just Can't Wait)." The same recording as on the 45 was included on his 1995 Christmas album with the revised title "'Til Santa's Gone (Milk and Cookies)."

The whole EP is fantastic (half covers, half originals), but Red Ribbon Foxes is the masterpiece on A Fine Frenzy's Oh Blue Christmas:

Good call. It does sound classic. Kelly's contribution to Xmas music. Hard to achieve this late in the Xmas music game; but she sure pulled it off.

    "Merry Christmas Broken Hearts"

I also love the Memphis Ukulele Band's fantastic cover of "Gee Whiz It's Christmas"...newly released, but written decades ago.

I think Michael Bublé and his Christmas album is the best thing since sliced bread! I am a huge fan of Christmas albums from the Golden Age like Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song and Johnny Mathis's Merry Christmas, but Bublé's holiday album is the only one from this century that ranks right up there with those classic ones.

Tom Chaplin. 12 Tales Of Christmas
The lead singer of the band Keane.
Absolutely the best Christmas album IMO of the last 20 years.
This was the first single he wrote called Midnight Mass
It was released last December 2017

Faith Hill's A Baby Changes Everything. One of the finest modern sacred Christmas songs of this century.

Great lyrics. I wish the choir was a bit more prominent, but nice indeed! Reminds of the type of lyrics from "Breath of Heaven" from the early 90s.

Oh indeed, I love Breath of Heaven as well. I really like Vince Gill's great version with the late Patrick Williams glorious orchestral arrangement.

Catchy melody in the chorus and the sax is fun. Your vocalist sounds like he’s a bit out of breath though, which makes it hard to fully enjoy

Thank you for checking it out and your comments. Lead vocals (and all guitar) are mine, and I am not as great a singer as some of the other 5 singers on the track, but felt I could put this tune across. Lots of my songs do give lead vox to one of the women.

The ultimate modern Christmas song would be "The Christmas Song," because of its chromaticism.
