Anyone else think that the LP Sonny Rollins 'Saxophone Colossus' would make an amazing 'One Step' release?
With the true master tape now located for a while now King Crimsons Court is the obvious choice for this pressing. It has not been done right since 1969 when tapes went missing and mistakes were made. Pink Islands, some second runs using first run plates and its all down hill from there. What we got in the States was a Joke. Azimuth EQ problems. PLEASE I BEG OF YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Canceled my order for the Yes title. These things are getting so incredibly expensive that I cannot justify buying titles that are not top albums for me. Mingus and Paul Simon are probably the only two I'll grab for sure out of the announced titles. Incredible reviews or a windfall profit being factors that could change my mind
I called them for another issue but asked about Fragile. They said "hoping to ship next month." That was a week ago.
Yep. I've come close to pulling the trigger for Blood on the Tracks many times but I just can't justify that pricetag for an album I don't consider a must have for me. The only One-Step I have is The Nightfly and it's one of my most prized records because I love that album.
Has anyone heard or identified what the manufacturing issue was with "Monk's Dream" ? My apologies if I missed it.
I agree. But...being from the UK, they are most likely in love with the digital vinyl product. Sounds good enough to them, why bother with analogue.
Same here. I really have to be over the moon about a record to be spending that kind of money. A regular 33 1/3 LP, fine, same with the SACD too but at $125 per title for a One-Step it better be something pretty special. Especially in light of all the defects customers have faced.
Any word from MFSL or Mobile Fidelity on the release date, Yes - Fragile One Step 45rpm 2 lps? Still TBA?
Well still not delivered. Fed Ex failed to make its delivery on account of inclement weather! That’s bull! The weather is fine. The status now says delivery for Tuesday! On the phone with customer service all night.
Fooled again, I see the stock status: in stock and stop reading any further to see it's actually not in stock, but a pre-order. I think this is called a double entendre.
Don’t like liars dude. Bad business model. One customer service rep working the phones ......that’s what you get.
I literally don't think Fed-Ex has been accurate once for me in their "estimated delivery date". I'll take USPS Media Mail all day every day over them.
