Treme ~ season two. Episode nine must be one of the greatest hours of television ever made. Totally blown away. Coolest bit: the NYC restaurant where they play nothing but vintage Punk Rock in the kitchen.
anybody watching or watched Perpetual Grace, LTD on Epix? saw it listed on a couple of ten best lists and even a spot at number 1 on one list. watched epeisode one today and am uncertain if i want to continue. Epix free trial goes three more days. should i binge more?
I've reached episode 7 of The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix, and I have to admit to myself I'm finding it very tedious. A flabby melodrama about a dysfunctional, unlikeable family, and DIY. I've decided to ditch it. Robert Wise's The Haunting, based on Shirley Jackson's novel (1963?) is safely the finest film adaptation. I understand that the next season is going to be based on Henry James' Turn of the Screw. Sadly, Jack Clayton's film version (1961?) remains for me the definitive adaptation, and as with The Haunting, is unlikely to be surpassed by this long-winded and self-indulgent TV tosh. It's like Peyton Place with Matrix-green filters!
I watch "Judge Judy" pretty much every weekday... They show the new episodes in the afternoon, but at 3am-4am, they show older repeats, which I watch sometimes... Trouble with the early morning episodes is that not only are they repeats, but they seem to show the sames ones over and again in that time-slot... Her show's been on over 22 years now, you'd think they'd go into the archive and dig out some really old ones to show-It'd be more interesting that way.
My Tivo sorts the episodes for me. They show it twice a day here and there's repeats but I don't record all the repeats. I get legacy episodes late at night on the weekends and they're quite old. Sometimes I vaguely remember them. I have about 150 episodes saved on the Tivo. If they show again, the Tivo skips them. I think that they do a better job showing it here.
The Good Guys Comedy "The series stars Bradley Whitford as Dan Stark, a mustachioed, former big-shot detective with the Dallas Police Department, and Colin Hanks as Jack Bailey, a young, ambitious, by-the-book detective who has been assigned as Dan's partner because of his snarky attitude." A send-up of 70s crime/cop shows...very well done! I wish it had gone longer than just the 1 season.
The new NETFLIX Lost In Space! 2nd Season...MY WIFE AND I LOVE THIS SHOW! I hope they make a 3rd Season...it is fantastic...
love it...we need a Blu-ray complete series box! heck, we don't even have a complete DVD seasons box set!
She's nice when she's dealing with nice people. Who knows what they edit out? She can be hard on Ignorant egg-heads that are "thick" or suspected of being on medication and liars.
