Here's a lyric flub on a pretty famous song and recording. Doris Day's original recording of "It's Magic" for a Columbia 78 done in the 1940's was remade by her in the 1950's. This remake is the one you hear on the very popular Columbia DORIS DAY'S GREATEST HITS LP with the yellow cover.

    The correct lyric is

    "How else can I explain
those rainbows when there is no rain.
    It's magic."

    In the remake she sings

    "How else can I explain
those rainDROPS when there is no rain.
    It's magic."

    which doesn't really make sense!

That's what I thought but apparently not! It's 3:57 on the album and has that awkward cut. So it's a bad edit from two takes or the editing down of a longer take.

By the way, was it used in a movie in the mid 90s? I remember it being a hit around 94/95, which was really strange.Usually, there's a good reason behind it (song used in a commercial or in a movie). It's very of its time and felt out of place in the mid 90s.

What's with the snare changing sound at 1:39 of Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? Only on the LP version that lasts 5:31, not the official video.

Some would contend that the entire song is an example of this topic.

Holy crap! I never noticed! (oh okay, I probably only heard the single version).

I second that. Perfectly catchy tune.

    You are of course correct.
If you didn’t grow up in the Valley it’s a common mistake to make as there is a Reseda Blvd. off ramp on the Ventura Freeway. The city boundaries in the Valley can be confusing.

Two of my sons live in Reseda and always laugh at that verse.
Some say it’s a metaphor but I think ole Tom just made a mistake. Encino or Tarzana would have worked and fit just as well.

Funny story, but what kind of band covers a song without listening to the original (especially when it's on such a classic album)?

Led Zeppelin 'Immigrant Song". "s-s so now you better stop". Robert comes in a little early but corrects himself.

With Radiohead you can never be completely sure if it was intentional.

I think it was intentional. He lived in the Valley so he knew better.

Reseda DOES fit the vibe a little better. Encino and Tarzana are a bit more upscale, and Reseda had a bit more of a "ranch" vibe. There was a horse ranch a few streets over from our house.

In the quad mix of Sabbath’s “Iron Man”, Geezer Butler plays a massive bum note, going into the wrong riff at the end of the last verse (right around the 4:23 mark after Ozzy sings “Iron Man lives again!”).

Queen's Somebody To Love right before the "Find me somebody to love" part at the end some of the voices say one day I'm gonna be free while some say someday, making it sound like swonday I'm gonna be free.

In the Flaming Lips song "I Could Be a Frog" is the line "I could be a Gila Monster". Wayne pronounces the hard "G", where the proper pronunciation of the animal is with an "H" sound. Gila River, Gila County (AZ), Gila Monster, - all pronounced "Heelah".

John Fogerty gets the words wrong on Creedence's "Grapevine". He sings: "People say you hear from what you see, son and not from what you hear" instead of "People say believe half of what you see, son and none of what you hear."

In Genesis The Carpet Crawlers, at about 3:33 into the song, ("the porcelain mannequin with shattered skin...") there's a missed snare drum that drives me crazy. Not sure if it's a mistake or intentional, but I hate it.

Also, about 3:57 into Waterfalls on McCartney II, seems like Paul really screwed up...
