Both have appeared regularly on NZ's vintage channel JONES! We also get stuff like Mind Your Language and It Ain't Half Hot Mum..

Now I'd find it unlikely if All in The Family's origin series 'Til Death Us Do Part' ever re-aired on TV. Alf Garnett makes Bunker look like a saint, though I think AITF is an overall better program.

I was surprised to see Love Thy Neighbour on free to air tv this year considering the old time racism & sexism involved.

Moonlighting. For some reason, this series has become very obscure. The Anchor Bay DVD releases have been long OOP and it's unavailable anywhere for streaming. Last time I recall it being syndicated was on Lifetime back in the 1990's.

I've only seen the TDUDP pilot, but judging from that the whole vibe was softened for the U.S. version. This is especially true of the mother character. Edith on AITF is almost 180° from the original.

It suffers from an inadequate lead in Anthony George, but Sebastian Cabot steals every scene he's in as the professor and Doug McCure shows the potential he'd fulfil as a road company James Garner on The Virginian.

Checkmate had some impressive guest stars who seldom did TV episodes (possibly due to the influence of MCA bigwig Lew Wasserman), such as Jack Benny (the show's owner) and Charles Laughton. Still hoping that someday I'll get to see the one with Tony Randall as a homicidal disc jockey.

I agree I loved James. It isn't on DVD and not available anywhere although a couple of years ago I watched a lot of the episodes on YouTube including the pilot but I don't know if they are still there or not

Also surprised The Six Million Dollar Man or The Bionic Woman haven't shown up on MeTV.

Is there a chance we will be seeing less syndicated shows in the future? As an example, Frasier (owned by CBS) is no longer being shown on Cozi, and is no longer a series available on Amazon Prime without a CBS all-access subscription. It can be seen of course, if you have a CBS All-Access subscription.

That was a terrific show -- won a lot of Emmys, got critical acclaim, but not much of an audience. William Windom was a great actor.

You can make a good case that eventually, all TV shows and movies will mainly be available via streaming, and you'll have to pay for it. I'm not sure how much longer commercial broadcasting will survive.
