What Concert Did You Attend That Was Eventually An Official Release

    I attended Phish’s Clifford’s Ball in Plattsburgh, NY that was eventually released as A Live One.

    An evening with the Allman Brothers from Boston 1992. Van Halen's Panama video Providence 1984.

    Definitely a few Grateful Dead shows but that's not much of a feat. lol

    Plenty, especially if you count the "official bootlegs" from Pearl Jam and the downloads from Springsteen.

    I think the first concert I attended that got officially released was the Kinks' "The Road", which was partly recorded at a 1987 Maryland show.

    Too many to count since then!

    A Live One was released in 1995 from various 1994 recordings. The Clifford Ball stuff was released in 2009. Great shows though!

    June 10, 1976 Seattle Washington The Kingdome! To this very day it's the ABSOLUTE BEST CONCERT I've ever attended! Wings were TIGHT, HOT and ROCKING! PAUL McCARTNEY in his absolute prime!

    I saw David Bowie at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, April, 1978, and some of the songs were used on the Stage album.

    Grateful Dead in Des Moines 1974 and Normal 1978.

    Also in Normal, Il Peter Gabriel. A song was on his first live album.

    I was in the crowd in Detroit when they said they were recording KISS Alive III. Not sure how much of the show actually made it to the album though. ;)

    Bowie played Philly on 4 nights in 1983, one of which was used for the Modern Love video. I don't have my stub in front of me to determine if it was the night I was there.

    Fleetwood Mac 1979 in St. Louis. Oh Well and Sara were recorded there for the Fleetwood Mac Live album.

    I dont recall that anyone said they were recording that night.

    The Stooges reunion show at Pine Knob that got turned into a DVD and Mike Watt at the Metro in 1995 (with Foo Fighters opening).
