Where's the pre-order on Hendrix "Are You Experienced" SACD on Amazon US?
They have the listing for Axis SACD and I've already pre-ordered it. But where's AYE SACD?
Weird since they are being released simultaneously.

 

Same with ImportCDs.

 

That might explain it because I believe they both get their inventory from the same distributor.

I've gotten Amazon purchases mailed from them in Shepherdsville, KY.
Import CD, Deep Discount & Blowitoutahere are all in their stable too. They even use a similar web design.

 

Also, WOWHD. But I imagine that Amazon has many different sources. I've received CDs from them that weren't available at any of the online Alliance stores.

I’m wondering why Acoustic Sounds have not posted specific a date (other than “Winter 2018/19”). I would’ve thought the Holiday Season would be good for sales.

 

That comes with two disclaimers, right there on the same page.

 

I don't think it's because they are just sitting on it... it's my understanding that there is only 1 SACD pressing plant operating in the world. And since it's in Europe and not somewhere lacking in labor laws, they are probably not pressing 24/7.

 

I've read that Alliance sources a huge percentage of Amazon's CD stock - possibly as high as 60-70%. Amazon basically won't deal directly with smaller labels.

 

Several sites including Elusive Disc are now taking pre-orders, showing "Expected on: 5/31/2019".

 

Now "Expected on: 6/28/2019"...

 

Gulp.

 

Won't it show up first on Acoustic Sounds since they press Analog Productions? They don't have a date just "coming Soon"

 

Still in limbo everywhere, I reckon. I really want to hear this one.

 

Just got an email from Jason Marcum General Manager at Elusive Disc when I asked about the 6-28 release date that they showed on their listing.

"That was the date we hoped they would be coming.
Pretty clear it's not.
We will adjust it back some.
Thanks for letting us know."

 

Yes, that is the only site to pay attention to IMO.

 

Elusive Disc: Expected on: 7/19/2019
or maybe never.

 

Wonder what the hell the holdup is.

 

Often, the pressing plant doesn't release the finished order until the bill is paid.

 

Now it's August 23, but Elusive Disc may just be guessing and kicking the release date down the road like a can.

 

Elusive Disc now says: "Expected on: 11/8/2019".

 

Now says: "Expected when hell freezes over: 6/66"

 

Is this out yet?
