I've heard this enough, I don't need to hear it again for the rest of my days

aka Songs, or all songs by an artist you don't necessarily have an issue with, but you've heard them so much during your life you really, really don't want to hear them again, ever.

For me, its the Bee Gees, the 70's/falsetto years. Great songwriting, goes without saying, but those vocals now are like a rusty screw being drilled into my cranium over and over again.

Unfortunately radio still loves to play them, with no sign of abating anytime soon.

    Where have you been!

Indeed. It is my all time hated song of all time I think. I've never liked it.

Maybe you liked it at some point and grew to hate it ?

My similar one is Stairway to Heaven, so much so I can't face playing LZ IV anymore.

Most notable for me is the Beatles catalog, apart from Abbey Road and a few random tracks. Great stuff, but I've heard it too much.

Sometimes one can get sick of the 'classics'.

But it's always nice to hear a beloved song again after a break - you can experience all over again what made it great.

We are the champions (queen). Overplayed to death and snapped on commercials/film/tv shows. Was never one of my favourites to begin with but at this point I cringe anytime it comes on.

Funnily enough about 20 mins back I was about to upload a really great double disco CD called 'Flared Hits And Platform Soul' onto my ipod. I was unticking a few rubbish songs and thought "I never need to hear these again in my life....". Spooky eh?
(For those with an interest, the offending songs were 'I Will Survive', 'Yes Sir, I Can Boogie', 'Young Hearts Run Free' and 'Go West'.)

"Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin

Stranger Things on Netflix has launched me into an '80s pop mood but that's the one single from that era that I still can't listen to on account of its overexposure back in the day.

About 8-10 years ago this was my reaction to anything by AC/DC.

I was saturated with their early albums up to Back In Black while I was in university. Even then I thought I had pretty much heard enough of them. But then later on, the one local classic rock station that I could get on the radio at work would play an AC/DC song virtually every hour, and that's not an exaggeration. I could practically predict when the next AC/DC song was going to be played. That's when I finally said ok, I'm done with this.

And it's not that I think that they're a bad band. They were just never my thing. And since then I pretty much shut them out whenever I hear them.
