I don't have any Beck records
    yet :(
I haven't listened closely or often enough :( to all or most of his work.

Quite a few Rush 2015 or '16 remastered titles and some good, great Bowie titles also. I still have quite a few purchases to make hopefully.
    2 Rufus Wainwright records also.
Been a heckuva sale so far.

Here's what I found at 2 Manhattan stores. Didn't buy a few at first and they were still there days later.

It certainly indicates to me they’re phasing down vinyl, if not in the beginning stages of phasing it out.

What it also means to me is vinyl is over-saturated and a lot of it is over-priced.

I went to a store in Manhattan 3 times over the course of a week and a lot of the same records were still there each time I went. People were looking I saw but not buying anything.

It will have been gone 50 years in 13 months time! Decimal Day - Wikipedia

I remember it like it was yesterday! :)

Be warned: the 2007 Genesis remixes are awful!

  7. I think they intend to considerably shrink down the music and possibly movies section in most stores. I thought they may hang on since they may be the last national retailer with any significant deep catalog music product, but that market is getting smaller with each passing year.

One store had virtually nothing stickered. Very frustrating as they had hundreds of LPs.

    I bought
    Man Who Sold The World
    Wrecking Ball (Springsteen)
    Both Sides of the Sky
    Faces Snakes and Ladders
    Centerfield
    Dusty in Memphis
    Rufus Wainwright debut
CCR Green River (but not sure this is the Hoffman, Gray mastering, 2008 on back, hard to read also)

I put a few others back on the shelf.

Hunky Dory, Tim, and another title did not ring up at 50% off so a no buy on those.

There were quite a few more titles I would have bought if I knew they were 50% off. Possibly some more non-Rock titles. The lists and posts here sure helped though deciphering and guessing which titles were on sale.

Hope to wrap up most of these 50% purchases by the weekend, but some more sampling still required.

I think all the 50% is on the shelves. In my area mostly unwanted titles and tons of Camelot soundtracks. I wonder if the records will stay 50%, go back to normal price or will they send to some discount clearing house (if such exists)

Went to my local again since the site said they had The Next Day in stock.

No one could find it anywhere and it wasn’t in the racks so they said it was likely an error. Unfortunately it seems that and the other title I wanted (Paper Gods) can’t be ordered from the warehouse anymore as they aren’t stocked so it does seem like this is indeed a narrowing of the available titles sale.
So of course I bought one more (Pretenders Alone) while there...

I need to get to the other store in the area soon but they have closed most so the only other one is about 40 mins out of the way.

Have seen Paper Gods in some South Florida stores.
    Also Golden Smog.
A number of titles listed upthread. There are 5-7 stores within close or 'reasonable' distance from home and work. It's been a fun sale. Only regret is they are not all 50% off ;) or the 50's don't go to 60 or 70 :). I sampled that Pretenders album on youtube and took a real liking to it. I bought that one too.

Grabbed last night at the second of three in my regular route:

Margo Price - Midwest Farmer’s Daughter
The Milk Carton Kids - Monterrey
    FKA Twigs - LP1

Hoping the 3rd store (the largest) has some ace material.

Seems like these LPs would get reduced in price, if no ones buy them. When Barnes & Nobles stopped selling in LPs in 2010, some LPs were reduced to $1.99 (after several other mark downs) I bought Spingsteen's WORKING LP for $1.99 in Jan. 2010.

Ha, am still trying to get to Kendall.

The store I went to today seemed to have less stock than they had a few weeks ago, but different titles!

I didn't realize they took a break from vinyl. How long were they out of the game?

I remember around 2011 or 2012 they ran a 50% anything in the store coupon (well almost anything). I never saw them do something like that again.

Stopped in my local B&N yesterday and bought:

    Love (1st album - mono)
    Nico - Chelsea Girl
David Bowie - Man Who Sold The World
Pink Floyd - A Saucerful Of Secrets
Big Star - Best Of (2x45)
    George Harrison - Brainwashed

    All at 50% off!
The Big Star had a 50% sticker that said "Members save an additional 10%" but it didn't work.
Still a great bargain. I was a little late to the game so I'm sure a lot of titles were sold before I became aware of the sale.

Target has also gone back and forth when it comes to carrying vinyl over the past few years.

Yeah - I was actually surprised there were this many quality titles left. The advantage of living in a small town...
