I agree with all of that, except I don't think I'll get tired of hearing "Everlong," "This Is a Call," or "Ill Stick Around," especially live versions of those tunes.

The Beatles in mono, stereo and the remixes. The 5.1 mixes are amazing. I won’t get tired of those.

 

Or this one. My absolute favorite.

 

Especially the guitar parts before the drums kick in.

 

Funny how the songs people never want to hear again have so many 'likes".

 

Can't say I agree with American Pie. The lyrics are incredible and it's one of the only songs that gives me chills.

 

Usually the band members are in their sixties and have pot bellies. Cringeworthy indeed.

Nice man. So raw. Honestly I think CD is one of the few songs that I never get tired of hearing, including the original. It's a perfectly crafted song where you can always feel the sentiment of the song, no matter who does it.

 

Any Foo Fighters song already released, to be released, possibly to be released, written, produced, printed, published, unreleased demo, live recording, FM broadcast, tour, Spotify playlist or otherwise Foo Fighters forced upon us through any other sonic borne system.

I love Sinatra, but High Hopes never gets played. That and Doris Day's Que Sera Sera. I hated those as a kid!

 

I felt the same way about this track for a long time, but after hearing it again for the first time after an extended hiatus, I was struck by what a well constructed pop song it was, on the knife's edge between romantic longing and creepy obsession. I don't need to hear it again too much, but sometimes taking a break helps to refresh your perspective.

 

Piano Man (though really anything Billy Joel would qualify).

 

Remember kids, stay in school and don't become "that guy," the one who let overlistening to Classic Rock radio mindlessly ruin a bunch of great songs for him.

 

I agree with the general premise... I never want to hear "take your pick" on the radio again. This is what I've done lately. When I think of or hear a "classic song" I do not listen to it on the radio. Instead, I'll make a mental note or even write the title down...for a future vinyl listening session. It's amazing how refreshing and satisfying digging out an original NM vinyl pressing of a classic artist can sound on a good system. I agree...I cannot listen on the radio!
