I've lived in California for most of my concert-going life.
The greatest distance I've traveled just to see an out-of-state show was around 550 miles.

I have flown from HI to the "mainland" for shows maybe about 20 times ? .... Those jaunts often included substantial roadtrips ....
This "flying for shows" era of my life was triggered by the Roger Waters and Pink Floyd tours of 1987 -- had to see 'em ! ..... then there was the Grateful Dead fever I caught that same year ....

but I don't really do that much anymore.
