Exactly. CYE is Seinfeld on steroids. You get to mainline LD instead of getting the weak stuff. Where Seinfeld had some awkward moments and misunderstandings, it's nothing compared to the painful situations LD finds himself in. The humor is on another level. It's insidious and attacks the central nervous system, and you find yourself thinking about it weeks later. Like Marshall, the racist guard dog who only appears to bark only at African Americans...until the final scene where it's revealed Marshall is not racist after all but homophobic. Then you have to go back in your mind to all the people who Marshall barked at earlier. Truly painful humor from a twisted comedic genius.

I get the impression that "Seinfeld" involved Larry coming up with awkward scenarios, followed by Jerry saying, "Okay, let's figure out how to make that funny." But "Curb" involves Larry coming up with awkward scenarios, followed by Larry saying, "Okay, let's figure out how to make that more awkward."

Bob Einstein died almost a year ago. Sadly, there will be no more Funkhauser on Curb.

Yeah, he was great. Hopefully they give the character an absurdly funny (and filthy) sendoff that’d make Bob proud.

I submit this clip from Seth Meyers as well. Was laughing hard during the J.B. portion!

    1st episode was very good.
The hat joke was dead on
And the pushing over of the scooters and braking of the selfie stick was classic.

Jeff getting confused for Harvey Weinstein was brilliant. So obvious. Leon was in fine form as usual. Mocha Joe was being quite the prick. Guess he had to be for Larry to get up his gander enough to initiate taking his revenge. Great start!

Jeff does look a little like Weinstein I can see that becoming a running gag.

Great first episode. Lots of funny jokes and situations and it didn't sag at all. Very funny.
