Frank Malitz of Carver Corp handed me a flyer with a picture of the forthcoming integrated amp:
    The Crimson 2180i Integrated Amp....
    180 watts per channel
Five year warranty including the tubes
    Employs unique Carver Tube tech
Variable bias adjusts in seconds for the ultimate tube rolling
    Handcrafted in the U.S.A.
He said the timeline for release is about 120 days out, (approximate) and the prototype isn't ready yet.

What interests me is the fact that Bob Carver created a new preamp section that will include defeatable tone controls. I'll try and post a picture of the flyer as soon as I can get my act together.

120 days out and no prototype would seem sorta far fetched for just about anyone but Bob Carver.

I've enjoyed all my Carver gear, just don't have any now.

Frank did say that the circuit board(s) were done and assembly was getting real close. I'm hoping to see a stand-alone preamp in the near future.

Can you scan the flyer? I'd love to see/read it.

Looking forward to seeing and hearing this.
I have a Crimson 275 and love it. These guys don’t get any love in the hi fi magazines so they will have to have an excellent product and hope to sell it via reviews in forums like this.

Any product that does not receive love from the magazines makes me take notice. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

There's a chance the magazines don't know what they are missing. I sat and listened to the Mono Carver's through the Amazing Line Source Speakers and guess what...……. they sounded really nice. My wife even commented on how good they sound.
You probably, or most likely haven't heard them, have you? Good reason to avoid them, huh?

Looks good to me. Hooking up with Wyred 4 Sound. They are a good company. Malitz? Who cares. If you don't like him, you don't have to talk to him. It might be a great integrated at a reasonable price

Circuit board? Is it printed? Does this signal a shift in values from Mr. Carver?

Looks nice for tube gear, IMO.

Bob's tube amps are excellent, never said otherwise and Bob is a true gentleman, whom I've hung out with a few times. Malitz on the other hand reminds me of a sleazy used car salesman.

I'm guessing 10,000 dollars or more. Certainly out of many people's audio budget. Great for those who can afford it, I love Bob's tube gear, even if I can't own most of it.

Didn't have the patience to sit through the whole thing, but he had a good pitch.

The integrated looks nice. Cool to see companies working together.

Yikes! Sure, put your hands on the tubes when they idle, but don't try it after they've been delivering 300W for a while. You will need a trip to the hospital then.I

And, Frank has posted his brand of communicating here before.

If I heard Frank correctly the Integrated will run around $4500.

Wow! If that price is correct, it would be a bargain based on his designs.

This new product is outside both my price range and needs at the moment, but I’m still running a 80’s era Carver receiver in a second system that I’m happy with.

I was very interested in Crimson 275 and was looking to read some professional reviews but I have seen none.

I heard the 275 at RMAF 2018 and thought that it should have been a front runner for “best sound at the show”. It was not even mentioned by either of the major magazines let alone reviewed by them.
I ended up buying one and have it driving Quad 2905 electrostatics. It replaced a Sim moon W7 solid state amp. All that I will say is that it’s very musical.
