Produced by Dead archivist David Lemieux, the 15-CD set contains complete performances from June 1976: Boston Music Hall (June 10th and 11th), the Beacon Theater (June 14th and 15th) and an evening at New Jersey’s Capitol Theater (June 19th).

Fun light hearted dead, these are good shows... although I’m not a big 76 guy

 

Dave confirms more is coming this year that needs some promo lead in time, whether that is another box or what who knows, but sounds like another interesting year to be a Deadhead.

I’m not familiar with these shows. I’m low on funds but can probably swing making PayPal monthly installments. Is this one that I should jump on?

 

I’m always on the fence on these sets due to the tremendous number of repeated songs. I realize it shouldn’t be about that s as hd you don’t really have to listen to them back to back .. eh. I’m prolly in for the collection Depends on price

 

If you like the other 76 stuff you’ve heard then yes. Fun to hear jer sing mission with the gd too

The Betty boards from from this tour is probably the best sounding stuff there is.
1976 is pretty damn good. The major complaint seems to be that it can be a really slow affair. Don't bother me though.

I guess I should jump on it. I missed the Northwest and Giants Stadium boxes and regret it.

 

No 3 disc highlights collection this time? Bummer....

Yeah I’m not ordering the full set until I know about the highlights option. I bounce back and forth on the boxes. Cancelled my pre order for Northwest but very glad I pre ordered blu ray version of Giants box.

 

And as the thread starter, if nothing else.

 

Ordered. A little early this year compared to Giants Stadium and PNW. Get Shown The Light was announced around this time of year. Glad I got to order it before my Lenten buying hiatus.

 

Normally I'd wait a while for the leading Deadheads hereabouts to convince me that this is essential but ... 15 discs, Betty Boards, Plangent Processing so ... ordered.

 

6/12, my favorite show from that stretch, again sadly overlooked. (altho maybe there were there pieces of it as filler on some release?)

Will be passing - I'd buy a release with just the Help>Slip>Franks from this box.

 

I'm guessing there will be an associated vinyl release on RSD 2020.
