That would be nice! I bought the original on CD the day it was released.

How can you be sure that something comes from Kinks?

If it's true that there will be a reissue of "Kink Kronikles", that's great,
but I would prefer something I don't have. Maybe it will be released differently though ...
I wonder if there could be another release from The Kinks?

It's nice that Pink Floyd "Arnold Lyne" (live) will be released separately on the single, this is probably the last joint recording with Richard.
Does anyone know if there is video from this concert or only audio in Box "Later Years"?

His masters were all lost in the great Universal fire.

Believe me, I really hope it's not true. I'm just reiterating the early reports that listed all the artists affected; Beck was one. He said himself that a couple albums of unreleased material were "probably lost." I'd love to have his "Sea Change" style album that he says was in the vault. I know he's stated recently that the damage to his tapes was not as bad as initially reported, but at this point though I'd have trouble believing anything Universal has to say, considering their loathsome behavior regarding this matter.

Agree to all of that. He could always release things sourced from digital, like this gem that would be perfect for RSD.

The Land Of Sensations & Delights: The Pop-Psych Sounds of White Whale Records, 1965-1970
Available via Varese Sarabande/Craft Recordings for RSD on April 18th - 2-LP/1CD

"This set was co-produced with my long-time collaborators, Cary E. Mansfield and Steve Stanley. It was also assisted greatly by my friend (the guy who turned me on to Dion and the Minx), Geoffrey Weiss.

Despite that fact that the White Whale label is best-known for being the home of The Turtles, this set focuses on the labels non-Turtles releases. In effect it is a White Whale Nuggets, but it also tells the tale of a very odd label who dabbled in so many genres.

Their focus was the radio and if a record couldn't make it regionally, it would never get beyond a promotional copy. In a short span of time, they lobbed more than a hundred singles at the airwaves hoping to repeat the success of The Turtles.

The process for compiling this set was to start from scratch and create four LP sides that played down thematically, like my Nuggets compilation. It was really fun, but also a lot of work as many of the tapes for these songs were missing or did not match the released mixes.

The job really required me to track down as many copies of the missing 45s as possible and bring them all in to my production room for transfer and restoration. With so many styrine pressings, it required careful review in real time of every element that I could lay my hands on.

Thankfully, it came out sounding truly balanced; a full realization of my initial goal. Cary came up with with the title and helped round up the sources, having cleverly tracked down White Whale's owners years ago and collecting what remained of the label.

I was able to compose short liner notes on each of my 26 selections and Steve wrapped them up in one of his finest sleeves in the tradition of Dean Torrence's clip art noveau style seen on so much of White Whale's trade ads, album covers and corporate identity.

This is one of many records that Cary E. Mansfield and I discussed for years and he skillfully brought it together to be a wonderfully worthy successor to our many great musical adventures together. I hope you will enjoy this when it arrives in just a few weeks!

Yes, and I really hope it doesn't turn into the **** show that past releases like Pear Jam Unplugged or the Crow Soundtrack did. This is one of my very favorite albums from the 90s and I've been waiting for it to drop on vinyl forever.

Long Live Vinyl (UK magazine) sent an email earlier advertising the next edition (on sale 6th March) with a RSD2020 guide, and they mention there are 550+ entries. Just fyi!
