Anyone else have anything to add, credit wise? I have Pat Tobin who was a great friend of engineer Valentin looking the credits over.

A guy is writing a book about Ella, trying to help him out with some info on my personal favorite Ella album.

    Thanks.

    July BUMPIE BUMP.

I wish the Classic Records' Gold CD of "CLAP HANDS" mastered by Bernie Grundman could be reissued. Kills all other versions out there. Cheapest one I saw for sale today was $300.00!! The thing should be for sale for 10 bucks for all music lovers. A shame.

Agreed. I would like to hear this! All of those Classic gold CD's are very expensive now.

Any consensus on the AP SACD?

I like it but Steve does not; so I guess that is some kind of consensus.

The 1989 release is a great alternative. SQ is excellent.

I HATE that my research threads are automatically closed.

Steve, is it an automated function or do they have to be closed by a Gort? I was going to comment on the Marshall Crenshaw album in a mfsl thread. Closed.

Great album! I have the 1989 release, which includes previously unreleased tracks of The One I Love Belongs To Somebody Else, I Got A Guy, and This Could Be The Start of Something Big. These are from an earlier session, 1/23/61

You probably have this already, but Fran Landesman's "Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most" is a hipster's take on TS Eliot's "April is the cruelest month," the opening of The Waste Land.
