I can't see anyone buying this album before some others and Space Oddity is on loads and loads of compilations, they will find it.

Is it confirmed that the original mix CD on this set is the same as the 2009 remaster?

 

Interesting to hear the backing vocals, handclaps and weird outro noises

 

Just got this 2019 remix on Cd....loving it!

 

But I wouldn’t expect the original album will be deleted. I think the 2019 mix is an addition to the catalogue rather than a replacement.

 

So, is the mastering of the new mix ok? I have the WG RCA cd. Might like to have this new mix!

 

The new mastering is truly excellent. Different but brilliant.

 

The Dynamic Range Database doesn't have anything on it if you're wondering whether or not the remix is crunched, but I myself like how it sounds.

 

Anyone know why Conv Piece hasn't really come down in price still?
I invested in the 3 vinyl boxes so I didn't wanna pay premium price again for much of the same material...
been waiting for a good deal that hasn't appeared...

 

I've no idea, but I will say there's probably not much they can do to cut the manufacturing costs. This one is unlike any previous Bowie set I've ever seen or held. It's a fantastic package, but the book alone is more than half the cost, I'd imagine.

Probably because of the book,which is massive and maybe costs a lot to manufacture ?

 

It’s probably selling well enough at the price it’s at.

 

His last big box (loving the alien) became cheaper after a long time. Maybe we should wait a little more.

 

Could also be because of the fact that it's still the "premium" option for David Bowie 2's semicentennial, the standalone release of the remix being the budget option.

Interesting that eBay still let this stuff list! Whilst I’m not a fan of parlophone I still don’t think we should be encouraging this type of release (someone profiting from breaking copyright)?
