Provide city and year for bonus points!

In the case of a tie, just share the same ranking.

Keep solo acts separate from their original bands.

No shame, I’m sure each time was worth it. It was for me.

They would all be local yokels:

    Paul Delay
    Jim Mesi
Robert Cray (when he was local)
    Curtis Salgado
Scott Fultz (in MN, the rest in OR)

national acts: Sonny Rollins and Bill Frisell, 6 or 7 each. IIRC. The locals all at least a dozen.

Glad to see the Toadies on someone’s list! Excellent band. I’m trying to sort out my own list. There are some bands on the local side that I’ve seen anywhere from 15-30 times. Either from just being around at a lot of shows or being friends with them and touring/playing together a lot.

Not counting a ton of punk and indie-rock shows by various, mostly obscure Tampa bands throughout the 80s and early 90s, here's what I came up with:

Guided by Voices (12 shows in GA and FL, all between 2000 and 2004 except for one FL show in 2018)
My Morning Jacket (6 shows in SC, NC and FL, 2008-2016)
Wilco (4 shows in GA and NC, 2002-2005)
Green Day (4 shows in FL, 1990-1993)
Samiam (3 shows in FL, 1991-1994)
