Never question Maynard’s third eye. Tis squeegeed clean. Purge me and evacuate the fear that binds me.

    Not multi-cam but equally impressive.

Well maybe they can focus on a vinyl reissue campaign.

Had to recharge my copy of the original DE today, as the battery had gone dead.

Does anyone know how to tell when the battery is fully charged?

Is it when the screen goes black? This is what I thought, but if you push a button when the screen goes black, the display shows an image that looks like it is still charging.

I haven't opened mine up for awhile, but I do wonder how this battery-powered item will hold up over time.

I've had many little devices where I left batteries engaged and opened them to find the batteries leaking (usually ruining the device). I doubt the battery that powers this thing will leak, but what do people suppose is the shelf life on this deluxe edition and its battery?

Fear Inoculum is turning out to be The Album of 2020. Maynard has powerful 3rd Eye mojo.

Fear Inoculum. Very good album (by Tool standards).

That's because the EBU R128 standard is centered on loudness and uses different calculus from the TT/MAAT DRMeter. R128 "dynamic range" is actually "loudness range" (LRA), which roughly measures the difference between the highest loudness and average loudness. By contrast, DR measures the difference between peak level and average loudness. So, it's quite possible that your LRA 5LU album is also DR10.

For this band "back in the day" is almost meaning like "the previous album tour", haha

I did. I bought a second copy of it, from ProStudioMasters.com, as the post a couple below my request initially suggested... it measures exactly the same, in all ways (not just DR), to the one I had from 7Digital. Which was good news/bad news for me, as 7Digital is a site I like to use a lot, because of their pricing and because of their redownloading policy, so it was great to see that this thing they sold me wasn't inferior to another copy... gives me good confidence in the other things I've bought from there.

But, obviously, it also means I bought two digital copies of the same album... that measure the same... oh well. AiC is probably my favorite rock band of all time (followed pretty closely by Tool, FWIW), so iz fine I guess.

Agreed. I sort of/mostly knew that, but you certainly put it into better, clearer, more precise terms than I could have. Thanks for this.

Danny says that with this break, they will be able to work on / release an EP. What should we set the over-under at?

I would think the band would want to stay active. They only got to tour Fear Inoculum for about 6 months before having to postpone the rest of the tour, and will presumably continue it when able to.

Danny says a lot of things, and most don't come to fruition. According to him, the album was coming out every year from 2015 onwards.
