Given some of us cannot spend a lot currently I thought this thread would be useful

  2. The Minutemen, there are Minutemen shops, clothing stores, Drive throughs, where with every purchase you get a free Minutemen cd usually of your choice, however if you want vinyl you have to pay full price.

You can find some at my local thrift shop !
Not suprisingly though , things have changed. They used to have hundreds of albums for $1 each but now the ' better ' albums are $3-5 each. Somebody wised up...

Anything by The Moody Blues, Yes, Jethro Tull, Jackson Browne, Billy Joel, Elton John, CSNY (especially solo), Genesis (mostly post-Gabriel), ELP, ELO, solo Beatles, etc can be found relatively cheaply and easily in my experience. I've also found that a lot of jazz fusion and early electronic/new age classics can be found surprisingly easily if you look for them.

EDIT: Or maybe the OP wasn't talking about used record stores given the current predicament?

A thrift shop can't call itself a thrift shop if it doesn't have a copy of this album. And some James Last records.

    As said The Moody Blues,
also Genesis and Bee Gees can be found for
    little cost.
Before current problems I work part time in a Vintage Vinyl Store and a lot of quality albums seem to still be plentiful.
Rod Stewart and Elton John always seem to be cheap for great sounding records.
As do Jean Michel Jarre and most Vangelis albums.

From the 70’s I can think of Wishbone Ash and Focus that are cheap and good.

From the 80’s there are to many to mention. Since I was young during the 80’s I can appreciate many of the albums that came out and you can find them everywhere and they cost almost nothing!

I was the exact opposite. You're from Spain so its different there but here all the Collins albums are cheap but you never see the Gabriel albums. In my area the prog representatives in thrift shops are Van Der Graaf Generator and Moving Pictures(Try finding any other Rush album).

It is like trying to find Percy Faith's "Black Magic Woman" album. It's the one that is never in the thrift store!

I bought those PG Genesis albums for 5€ piece.

I always see Van Der graaf generator albums too. But I never buy em, I don't like this band

Some good and great New wave albums are plenty and cheap too. Blondie, Pretenders, etc
