Bob James - "One". CTI Records, 1974.

Showing side two label here, on purpose, because that's where The Crown Jewel of the album, "Nautilus", can be found:

And here's a shot including the same door-knocker used on the cover photo gifted to me by a good friend:

My beautiful (though anonymous) white label "Label Copy" of Dancer with Bruised Knees by Kate & Anna McGarrigle. German issue, Warner Bros/WEA, time-stamped on the included info paper as 25/1 1977.

I wonder if that used to be clear. I have a copy of the Talking Heads "Speaking In Tongues" clear Rauschenberg issue that has gradually turned a similar color brown over the years. Like this one from Google:

Right.. I had the Talking Heads LP as well..
No, this is an actual heavy, one sided pressing metal disc..
Precision Lacquer is based in L.A. I have a Cash that is similar.
That was a DMM Direct Metal Mastering .

Oh, I didn't think of that. It just immediately reminded me of the Talking Heads lp.

My favourite promos are those that come with press packs or publicity photographs. An added bonus is if they have been signed as well. I have quite a few of these in my collection. Here's Jackson Browne's 'Hold Out'...

'An American Prayer' by Jim Morrison & The Doors. I love the cautionary yellow sticker on the front of the cover

This apparently was not released as a stock single. So, Columbia did a Promo only single of this classic (as pictured here). And this appears to be before their decision for oddball special promo 45 singles to have an AE7 prefix. A year or two later, Columbia set up the AE7 prefix and numbers for promo 45 RPM discs without a commercially available retail counterpart. It was also used for Bonus 7" 33 1/3 discs packed in with retail LP discs, and other such items in terms of Columbia, Epic, and their distributed labels.

No, I can see throght this record. It has become opaque and yellowed. The USD copies were not DMM btw, imports I saw were.

A metal acetate would not be clear at all.

Sorry, but I beg to differ.. It is certainly not ''clear'' whatsoever, that is just the photo.
I had suggested DMM because it looks very much like another disc I have by Johnny Cash.

Taken from the superb Searching For A Gem discography :
The Precision Lacquer copper master is single-sided and of Side 2 only, dated "11/16/87". Shenandoah is misspelled "Shannondoah" on all three masters.

sorry my error, I was stating about the Heads LP, not this obvious metal Cash LP part.
