Today’s a bad day for WWE wrestlers and producers: WWE Superstars and Personnel Released Amid Coronavirus Cutbacks (Update) Karl Anderson Luke Gallows Lio Rush EC3 Drake Maverick Eric Young Heath Slater Curt Hawkins Kurt Angle Aiden English Billy Kidman Mike Rotunda Pat Buck Fit Finlay Shawn Daivari Scott Armstrong Sarah Stock Shane Helms Lance Storm Sarah Logan Mike Chioda Primo Epico Erick Rowan
I had no idea Kidman or Rotunda was even with the company. With the economy the way it is, I don't expect AEW to pick up any of these but you never know. Hope The Revival shows up there but that's a lot of releases. I guess they have to fund that 18 mil somewhere.
Looks like Rusev got the cut too. I could see AEW picking him up as he’s shown he can generate great heat as a heel as well as surprisingly be an effective baby face. The rest I don’t see AEW rushing to sign as they must be feeling the financial heat as well..maybe they will take Deonna Purazzo (as she got released from NXT) since their womens field needs some help.
Seems like Rusev has been perpetually unhappy, even being in a show-closing angles for months. I assumed the Lana-Lashley tension was going to lead to a Rusev return, but now it either leads to her turning on him and aligning with another heel, or best wishes for her future endeavors too.
Howard Finkel had been suffering from a very serious stroke for a year and was in bad health before passing away.
i don't see them rushing to sign them but i think most of them are good enough talents they should be picked up somewhere

Yeah, that Vince Twitter account is definitely not used by Vince itself but rather the PR department. If Vince truly cared about Finkel, he wouldn't have treated Finkel as bad as he did in the later stages in his life.
Watching Mid-South from late 1982 and 83 on the network. The Rat Pack (Dibiase, Bourne, and Duggan) were great together. Also making my way through 1984 World Class. Gino Hernandez just showed up
Dark Side Of The Ring had another great episode! This is getting to be one of my favorite shows! Last night it was about "the slap heard around the world". I guess Dr D was dealt a bad hand after the incident and it is unfortunate his career ended. I had always heard of this but Dr D. was before my time as a wrestling fan. I also had never heard of Eddie Mansfield. The complete episode is up on youtube.
Steve Austin took Dr D's persona and made a fortune with it. I remember loving Dr D when he came to the WWE. I also remember watching that 20/20 episode and popping when Shultz slapped Stossel. Funny thing is that I was young but kinda already knew wrestling was 'fake' so I thought Schultz and Stossel were working me, but it was really a shoot... lol!
One of the best moments I have seen. Congrats to Becky, and congrats to Kana she deserves it. Hopefully creative won't screw her again.
