This has probably already been done, but I can't be bothered to wade through 27 pages and it doesn't show up on search.

The coronavirus lock-down was MADE for wading through 27 pages of a SH thread!

I drifted off in the middle of reading your long post. Can you give me the gist of it?

This thread is so damned long, I'm too lazy to go back and see if I already posted this, but I think my personal favorite Simpsons episode was the one where Homer went to work for Blofeld and SPECTRE inside a giant volcano, and then he was pissed-off when a James Bond-like hero came in and wrecked the place. The episode was "You Only Move Twice," from Season 8. All the SPECTRE employees got great pay and great benefits, so it was a tragedy for all of them (on that side at least). I thought it was an absolutely hilarious and inspired idea that answers the question: where do all the henchmen and sidekicks live when they work in a massive villain's evil lair?

Solidified Albert Brooks place, as the Simpsons 'guest voice' who would always appear as a different character!
From the RV salesman in one of the earliest eps., to the head of the EPA in "The Simpson's Movie", he always gave the episodes he appeared on, a little extra!

Roger Meyers, Jr.: Take a letter, Miss White.

Dear valued viewer, thank you for taking an interest in the Itchy and Scratchy program. Enclosed is a personally autographed photo of America's favorite cat and mouse team to add to your collection.

In regards to your specific comments about the show, our research shows that one person cannot make a difference, no matter how big a screwball she is, so let me close by saying...

Sadly, there was one episode when Roger Meyers, Jr. was not voiced by Alex Rocco....the one when Bart & Lisa wrote an Ichy & Scratchy cartoon and put grandpa's name on it!

When Lisa and Milhouse get super powers, and then Maggie gets the radiation wand to make things nice: a bunch of quick gags (e.g., putting a shirt on bare-chested Putin while he rides a horse), then an American in Paris who's asking directions. The Frenchman sneers at his fractured French, then Maggie's nice wave hits him and he says, "I appreciate you are trying to learn our language."

  16. I was so glad they included that Planet of the Apes musical bit on one of the Simpsons' CD.

I know I've mentioned this a few times, but, since we're all on lock-down, I'll mention, to all of you in that 'there's-been-no-good-Simspns-episodes-since-blah-blah-blah' camp, might I suggest two from the 21st century that I found quite funny!
    - "Steal This Episode" (2014) Homer learns how to illegally download movies...comedy ensues.
    - "The Book Job" (2011) Homer decides to get into the 'tween-lit' business.....This ones got a bunch of shots where you have to pause the show to see all the 'joke-titles' to all the 'teen-wizard' and 'teen-vampire' books on the shelves...but, it's the guest voice of Neil Gaiman that makes it a new-classic, IMO!
