Just finished Line Of Duty. I enjoyed it so much I took advantage of the a free month offer for AcornTV to watch the most current season that is not on Amazon Prime.
Oh, I think they are unmatched. A close second might be "Criminal" on Netflix. Each mini-season takes place in a different country and almost never leaves the interrogation room or the observation room. Each episode is just 30 minutes, and they are very intense.
Anyone else recognize the actor playing ex-detective Ryan Rodgers (who says "I've never felt so alive." right before having a heart attack)? That's M.C. Gainey, the naked guy who chases Miles out into the street in Sideways.
Loved this. Have binged this season over the weekend. Great writing, great acting, will really miss it when it ends.
Top three season for me. Sad to see it go after next year. There are so many books to pick from so they could on for years but maybe it's good to wrap it up while they are on top.
Same here, after two somewhat weaker seasons with confusing plots and no real flow, this was one of the best. Really sad to see this series wrapping up, this could go on for at least three more years. I could also see Jay Edgar or Maddie getting their own series.
I’ve been trying to work out if the later seasons are more or less noir in tone than the first two. Views?
Less noir IMO than S1-3 which were based on earlier books that were also more noir than newer Bosch novels.
I think this season was the first time I saw him smile and laugh. Pretty good overall. Spoiler I think Edgar's version of events of the last episode may not be true?
Shame it's the second last. Just found out another of my favourite crime shows, Cardinal, is ending too. They ran out of books to adapt!
Great call on Cardinal, another show I really like - although the extended moody bits are starting to grate a bit now so I find I'm just fast forwarding to the next bit of dialogue/action
tried both ways. meh, no difference to me. love the season, love the show. really wished the season was longer. really interested in the direction Maddie takes going forward.
Love Line of Duty, although I felt they were pushing things a little in the most recent season. Anyone here watch Endeavour?
