I've got the Japan CD HDCD from 1998 which is excellent. So is the 24/192 download from a while back. If they go 50th PLEASE get someone not to compress the daylights out of it.

agreed, like i said though, we were teased and teased and teased about these great tapes for so many years i wonder if anything would have really satisfied us.

considering the depth of talent (hendrix is hendrix and stills really was right at the beginning of his peak) i guess i wanted buffalo springfield/CSN/CSNY with jimi hendrix on lead guitar.

with hooks and hooks and even more hooks and guitar duels through the roof.

    we got none of that.

we got a couple songs that sound like 2 guys who said lets play "name a song" and tape it so we can listen to it later......and then they never listened to it to make it better.

Yes, although I prefer the '80s CD.

I'm sure all the money the CSNY brand has brought in over the years is substantial enough to fund a member for the rest of their life and beyond. He could've blown it all, but 'all' probably wasn't near what would've been fair. It's a trickle down. Drip-drops of money to Crosby after the record company execs and those affiliated get their pie pieces.

It's the top brass who're the leeches off the talent that fund their greedy appetite. The artist's by far are the one's left with the scraps.

It does sound good. This album is what it is, and finding the best version of it it somewhat never-ending.
I'm going to go listen to the 24/192 again and investigate.

"Manufactured by WEA" = SRC. Speciality was WEA's plant.

Just another opinion but I prefer this to the 1998 which I find too bright. The download is very good.
