Not really black or death, but I can't be the only one absurdly excited about Inter Arma's new covers album, can I? That tracklist looks awesome. Clearly inspired by Metallica, it's called Garbers Days Revisited:

    1. Scarecrow (Ministry Cover)
    2. Southern Man (Neil Young Cover)
    3. Hard Times (Cro-Mags Cover)
    4. March Of The Pigs (Nine Inch Nails Cover)
    5. The Girl Who Lives On Heaven Hill (Hüsker Dü Cover)
    6. In League With Satan (Venom Cover)
    7. Runnin Down A Dream (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Cover)
    8. Purple Rain (Prince Cover)

Sounding like Behemoth to start, this band goes off on their own by the first minute and the results are excellent. An excellent video as well. LIMBO, by GAEREA

I'm interested in the two new songs. An interesting contrast of styles between the above video and this one. I thought of calling the Gaerea song "emo anguish BM" but at least the emotion is devoted to the music. The Behemoth is some tired forest fantasy. Personally I think it's pretty silly stuff.

"Our new EP “A Forest” releases May 29th including the title track featuring Niklas Kvarforth of Shining! Covering music outside of metal is a challenge – covering legendary music is an even greater challenge…that is what drove us throughout this process.
The EP contains two brand-new Behemoth songs, “Shadows Ov Ea Cast Upon Golgotha” and “Evoe”. The tracks act as a continuation on from ILYAYD – no more, no less. We hope this brings some respite for anyone struggling during these strange times on our planet! Stay safe, stay positive, Hail Satan!"

I'm digging it. The opening track is 26 minutes long! Troublemakers. Does it also sound good? "Mastering by Damian Herring at SUBTERRANEAN WATCHTOWER" :righton:

How is the selection of hard rock/metal, as good or better than Apple Music? Also does it tell you the quality of the file being streamed? I didn't see anything on their site about a $4 CAN/month promo do you have a link?

Interesting cover (I've always liked this Cure song), but I really want this for the two new tracks, as I'm a big fan of ILYAYD. I might even pick up the autographed vinyl from Behemoth's site.

Exact same selection as Apple Music. The quality is determined by whether you chose the Premium (lossy) or HiFi (lossless) plan when you register. If there’s a 24/96 version of an album available to buy somewhere, it’s also available in the HiFi plan.

That's my fav Vader album. But do yourself a favour and listen to a needle drop. What the loudness war did to Vader's discography is one of the biggest crimes in music history. After listening to a needle drop I almost throw my Vader's CDs through the window... I had never been able to listen to a full album without making at least one pause to cool down my head.

Weeks can pass and nothing at NCS appeals to me then two very different songs each pretty good on the same day. The first is some crusty beatnik poetry "wind washes over me, like news of a tragedy".

The sight of a snowy frontier cabin brings a scowl and yet the music was serene, easy, pleasing. Beautiful openings.
