The Cars Greatest Hits DCC Compact Classics eBay listings

In doing a search on the DCC Cars Greatest Hits gold disc on eBay, I am coming across listings that say DCC Compact Classics with the 1998 date clearly not the gold disc. Should these be reported? Here is one:

I guess you could always report them, but I'm willing to bet that it's not the only DCC or MFSL album with false advertising on eBay.

 

Dave you would be right. Thank goodness there are scans.

 

Lazy sellers who don't check the UPC when they list. Or maybe they have a Club version and just pick the first option that comes up when they enter the title.

I have found that on eBay, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. There are rare exceptions, of course, but if someone has an MFSL or DCC to sell, they usually know what it is and what it's worth.

I found this many times when looking for the DCC Beach Boys Endless Summer CD. EBay has a glitch when it comes to selling that title and regular copies get listed as the rare version. I always look for actual scans of any collectible CDs when searching EBay

 

send a note to the seller and inform them of the mistake...
